Toilet facilities are classified into two: enclosed or open (i.e., with no divisions). The figures below show that 59% have enclosed facilities, 31% have open facilities. Majority the households that are using open toilets pointed to the lack of space as the reason they cannot put up enclosures.

On ownership of the toilet facilities, 61% of the households claim exclusive use of their toilets, while 29% share with other households. This is also mainly attributed to the lack of space within the dwelling units of the households.

On toilets shared among households, the majority are used by let 5-10 persons. There are also toilets that are shared by more than 15 persons. Other households opted not to disclose the number of persons that use their toilets. Shared sanitation refers to any type of facilities intended for the containment of human feces and used by more than one household, but excluded public facilities . Several studies found that there was a pattern of increased risk of adverse health outcomes associated with shared sanitation compared to individual/exclusive household toilets.
